Yes. CB last Wed. The attorney who called me said that the NY office meets on Wed evenings to make hiring decisions.[/quote]

so 8 days...good to know--i have a CB there next week. Anything you said/did you think really helped? how much detail did you go into about their practice?

Thought most important thing was to be pleasant and interested in what your interviewer is working on. I really liked everyone I met with there. I didn't think it was a particularly difficult callback. Everyone was very nice.

Ding from Nutter -- apparently sent the day after my screener. That good huh. I Loled when I opened the envelop: the paper was thicker than my resume paper. At least they don't go cheap on the dings!

Goodwin (NY) and Quinn (NY). As with other posters, Quinn had a very quick (1-day) turnaround for me. GP was more like a week after CB.

Offer at STB LA & Palo Alto; callback for LA was on 8/26 and Palo Alto was on 8/29.

Just got back. This happened. Am speechless.

For what it's worth, dinner was with three midlevel associates. They explicitly said they don't do same day offers anymore as a general rule, but it didn't sound like I was literally the first (or last) of this cycle either.
