Re: Northwestern 2011 OCI Lottery Results/Call Backs thread
Schiff CB was actually quite good and left me thinking even more highly of the firm than i did before. Honestly, every firm should do CB's this way, it made me feel like they were really invested in me.
First 2 or 3 interviews are normal (I think it was 2). The "panel" interview is painless, very scripted questions about past experiences both professionally and academically, nothing too challenging whatsoever. Having other people in the room actually makes it more like an interview than a conversation, it is definitely more formal but I think that most would appreciate not having to come up with questions to ask people because the attention is solely on you for the hour. Writing exam takes like 30 mins and is very straightforward.
No curveballs, very good interview process in my opinion.

Re: Northwestern 2011 OCI Lottery Results/Call Backs thread
I have to agree for the most part. It was long, but totally doable. The real problem I had with it is that I felt like they really got to know me, but I didn't make much of a one-on-one connection with any of them. That is something pretty important to me when deciding between my offers and I think it may reduce their offer acceptance rate.Anonymous User wrote:Schiff CB was actually quite good and left me thinking even more highly of the firm than i did before. I get that.
Seems like it would be easier to go Chicago --> NYC than the other way around these days. Kind of counter intuitive. Both of those firms are legit in NYC too, wonder if you could do a summer in Chicago office and then go to either of their NYC offices full time if you got an offer (though I'm guessing that if you have insta-offers from Mayer and Sidley you probably have many NYC v10's going after your services).
