Does anyone have the billing number for refreshing TLS and ATL constantly? Lots of time to put under that matter over the last few weeks. TIA. Losing hope. My firm is right at the border line.

Yes. From ATL:Anonymous User wrote:Would still like more info on the K&S announcement. Were there bonuses?
"Special bonuses will also be paid to associates on track to meet the hours requirement. If an associate does not meet that billing mark mid-year, they’ll have an opportunity to earn that special bonus at year end."

Its crazy embarassing for them. I hope someone at that firm is reading thisAnonymous User wrote:Dear Boies Schiller,
You are now the highest PPP firm not to have matched. Given the K&S rumors, the next firm by PPP, Cadwalader (wtf that is), has a PPP $700k less than you. There is a mid-law firm's worth of PPP between you and the next guy. You sell yourself as above market. So respectfully, FUCKING MATCH ALREADY.

So for the record, K&S Atlanta is now at 165, 170, 185, 205 for the first few years. Not bad for Georgia.Anonymous User wrote:Right now Atlanta and Charlotte are both 155, 160, 170, 185, 200. Southeast to 165 maybe?Anonymous User wrote:

Re: NYC to 200k
They used to. Post-2016, base salaries were only a sliver above and bonuses were only above for high billers. Now, they are substantially below, and to break even with market on your bonus you would have to bill a ridiculous amount. If Boies doesn’t change the formula and increase base, they will be below market for most associates.Anonymous User wrote:No. That is the fakest of fake news. I wouldn't exactly say fake news if a junior can get $100K for 2400: https://abovethelaw.com/2016/12/associa ... rs-bounty/Anonymous User wrote:No. That is the fakest of fake news. My understanding is the vast majority of associates beat market. The whole system is designed so there's a marginal benefit to each hour billed. Associates who bill 2400 get more than those who bill 2000. Yeah, this might mean that associates who bill 2000 might do better at a lockstep firm, but in that case you can just go to a lockstep firm. But if you're going to bill a lot, BSF is the better place to be (in theory anyway).
The question is whether this remains the case after these new raises. If they just bump base salaries, it'll be unclear. If they rework the comp formula, that could address a lot of associate grumblings.

A&B will. Troutman had some merger rumors so who knows with them. The other firms already paying 155 will probably match over time, just more drawn out like 2016.Anonymous User wrote:Do we think the rest of ATL/CLT will match K&S?Anonymous User wrote:Yep.Anonymous User wrote:Are K&S ATL/CLT getting the bonus?

W&S, Dechert, MB and CWT already matched Cravath in Charlotte. I'm guessing the firms in ATL that were paying the same as K&S prior to the raise will follow along eventually.Anonymous User wrote:Do we think the rest of ATL/CLT will match K&S?Anonymous User wrote:Yep.Anonymous User wrote:Are K&S ATL/CLT getting the bonus?
