K&S is doing raises plus bonus in all offices. Raises and bonuses are localized (ie, full match and bonus in all offices but ATL and CHA, with ATL and CHA amounts TBD). No memos yet but go ask a partner you trust.

Raises effective July 1. Bonuses July 31 tied to hours.
Anyone confirm?
Email went to all partners from Robert. Doubt anyone here can confirm unless they chat with a partner. Lisa Keyes was copied as the contact person.
All partners or all equity partners? Also, when will they announce to the associates?

WilmerHale associate here. Like a 3% chance this is true. If so, however, there will be riots. Mid-levels here are overworked and frustrated as it is, never mind that we are going to be the last (and I mean last) firm to match.

PH associate here. Got an invite for a firmwide panel called “A View from the Top,” to discuss “what it’s like being a partner in BigLaw.” No joke. Subtle sign that there will be no raises or bonuses, and this panel is going to be a group of partners telling us how great $3M PPP is? (Spoiler: So much better than $2.9M PPP!)

Is it possible that some firms are struggling for capital to pay the summer bonuses? Some firms give partner distributions in the late spring, so they may be low on cash for paying bonuses at this point.

Sort of. I mean we bargain away these mystical hobbies or friends for market rate. We only feel resentment when partners don't hold up their end of the bargain.

I think K&S Atlanta currently goes 155, 160, 175, 190 for the first few years - not sure if there are bigger raises down the road. No idea what Charlotte's at.
