If they like you, they will make it work. The program is expanding every year. I would just choose where you want to go as long as you have a valid reason why.Anonymous User wrote:Whats the impact of the program you pick. If you pick DC for example and theres not enough spots, will you be considered for NY? I would like DC but don't want to pick it if its going to lessen my chance of getting into the program period. Re: SEO Corporate Law
You should pick the city where you'd like to work in after law school. One of the best things about SEO is networking with firms that you'd potentially work for -- no point in requesting a city you don't want to work in. If you make it to the interview, they'll ask why X city.Anonymous User wrote:Whats the impact of the program you pick. I'd focus on that, rather than worry about what they are considering behind the scenes.

If they want you, and they don't have a spot for you in the city of your choice then they will work with you.

No, but it looks like in previous years, interview invites went out in the beginning of December. So I think we still have a bit of time.

I applied in January and heard back for an interview in early February. Not suggesting you put it off, but you shouldn't stress not hearing back at this point.subtle wrote:No, but it looks like in previous years, interview invites went out in the beginning of December. edit: fwiw I was also selected

It went well. Reading this thread:http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 4&t=193620 in the SEO section will more than prepare you. I think the most important thing is communicating well and being able to explain yourself and your thoughts.

Did you do yours in person or was it via Skype?

Re: SEO Corporate Law
I did mine in person. They say it may be a panel or a person. I had one person. She was nice. I think they are instructed to question you and then again question you on your answer (which could be taken as your answer was "bad"). But, that is why its a tough or "stress" interview" because it requires you to think on your feet. But, as long as you have a valid and logical response. You should do well.mommalee wrote:Did you do yours in person or was it via Skype?

I actually applied last week. But I did indicate that I had an acceptance and it looks like 2013hopeful does too.symphony07 wrote:has everyone who applied before the november deadline received an interview invite? hmmm
2013- thanks for the tips. Mine is next week so hopefully it goes well. I guess the downside of interviewing this early is that we are in for a loooong wait. Also congrats on Duke and UCLA

Well shit...
I applied over a month ago. One lower T-14 acceptance so far. Maybe they saw something in my app that they didn't like.

Congrats to you too! Now that I think about it, I was contacted about a week after I updated my acceptances. AND, she mentioned them in the interview. Maybe, continue updating as you go along and see if your interview comes knockinmommalee wrote:I actually applied last week. Nope. I applied well before the November deadline, but I haven't received an invite or anything. I hope this doesn't mean that I'm not getting one.symphony07 wrote:has everyone who applied before the november deadline received an interview invite? hmmm

Go easy on the anticipation. I'm an alumni from this past summer, and I didn't get an interview request until mid-February. And didn't have my interview until mid-march (I was not an anomaly). Be patient.
Also, the SEO law program has less staff this year than it did last year. So that might push things back some as well.

Can international students apply for this internship? Assuming they have legal authorization to work in the US, i.e., OPT or CPT.

Can anyone provide any info as to the duration of the actual internship itself? Reading through the threads it seems the start date is around May or June 1st, but when does it end? Does it end at the end of July or August?

Re: SEO Corporate Law
You'll be in from around Memorial day (a lot start after, some start before. TBH I would have preferred that, more time to make $$ and meet people. I think the West Coast ones might have started earlier, can't recall though), until around July 28-30ish? For your firm work. I think you get out of the academy around the 10th of August (so I guess the 9th this year).Anonymous User wrote:Can anyone provide any info as to the duration of the actual internship itself?
