No - I'm waiting to hear from them. I'm thinking about refraining from emailing them to ask for an update and instead just bid them high at OCI.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 2:03 pmHas anyone gotten an update from L&W in NY this week or have any clue what the timeline looks like?

Don't waste a bid on a firm you've already interviewed with.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 2:15 pmNo - I'm waiting to hear from them. Re: Pre-OCI 2020
I've had a couple of callbacks during all of this and just received a third last night. I haven't managed to land an offer from either of the previous two. Maybe I'm just a crappy interviewee with median grades, but I thought it was a bit better than a 50/50 chance that you'd get an offer if you got invited to a callback. Has anyone else had this experience or am I just way off base?

Re: Pre-OCI 2020
I'm top 10% at a school in NYC that is not NYU or Columbia but T1... 2 callbacks. Been ghosted by one, dinged by the other. I'm invited to two more before OCI. I'm also scratching my head a bit. I imagine I haven't been distinguishing myself enough as to the skills/traits I bring as evidenced in school/work experience.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 7:34 pmI've had a couple of callbacks during all of this and just received a third last night. Re: Pre-OCI 2020
This is speculative because I don't have direct experience / haven't done much pre OCI, BUT: I have to wonder if the implicitly the bar is set a bit higher during pre OCI vs. normal OCI. I'm sure a hiring partner would say, "our standard of excellence never changes" or whatever. But if you interview pre OCI, the interviewers will inevitably benchmark you against all the other ambitious pre-OCI strivers they talked to that day. Whereas during OCI, you might be compared against a wider backdrop of generic candidates.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 11:22 amI'm top 10% at a school in NYC that is not NYU or Columbia but T1... 2 callbacks. Then again, there's probably some countervailing force which makes firms more likely to extend offers at the start of hiring season vs. at the end as the number of seats begin to fill up.

Re: Pre-OCI 2020
Question about telling firms during OCI about a pre-OCI offer you have. I have a pre-OCI offer that expires 3 weeks from the first day of OCI. I'm very grateful to have this offer, but wondering if there's a wisdom/strategy in approaching standard OCI.
When and how do I tell the OCI firms about this offer in the hope that my application is processed quickly (i.e., tells me ASAP whether I have callbacks, when those cbs take place, and final decision post-cb)? Does my telling them about a pre-OCI offer also make them look at me more favorably, less favorably, or irrelevant?
I presume don't tell them before or during OCI screeners. Thank you!

Anyone been waitlisted after a pre-OCI callback? I assume they're just going to keep us on ice until after OCI.

Re: Pre-OCI 2020
On a similar boat. In my experience with 1L SA interviews, some firms asked during screeners while both firms I got a callback with explicitly asked at the end of my CB (the recruiter asked, not attorneys).hello123123 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 5:14 pmQuestion about telling firms during OCI about a pre-OCI offer you have.
