no, they did not mention that. According to someone from last year, Ropes can be slow sometimes.

Can second this. Two years ago at EIW, I got an offer from Ropes NY almost a month after my CB, and two weeks after I had already accepted another offer.

Not at NYU but this happened to me earlier this week with Weil. Interviewer called shortly after with the offer. Barring something unexpected, I think you can chalk it up to some internal wire-crossing and expect that you have been offered.
