If you can't decide what shoes to wear (and have to post anonymously about it), you probably aren't cut out for a career where you will be advising clients.

I've seen lots of boomer partners in ill-fitting suits rocking BDCs with ties and everything, oblivious to common sense or decency.acijku2 wrote:Are button down collars really kosher at business casual firm?

That's a good thought, but I was hoping for something less binary. We'll do the corp/lit one after the next one.cannibal ox wrote: Boring but you could do corp vs lit, free market vs rotation, etc
i thought about it, but then also thought about the collective groan it could elicit. I suppose it couldn't hurt.acijku2 wrote: Could do suit first day?

The only type that possibly wouldn't be in truly formal business-casual are casual OCBD's. But if they're actual dress shirts, (e.g., this) they're totally fine. Just don't wear a tie with them unless you want to look like a goober.acijku2 wrote:Are button down collars really kosher at business casual firm?

New poll.
Went with suiting up. The dead horse that has been beaten is the debate around it. I'm curious to see what everyone's actually committing to.
