worth it to go?
As a 2L, I presume? I think it is (but then again, I live close to MD and don't have to fly). Table talk is a great way to get a job and get your name in front of employers. I guess you have to weigh how much you want this job + the opportunity for table talk against the costs associated.

Palm Beach ding... It was one of my top choices. Definitely going to apply independently and talk to them at table talk. This one hurt.

I hope you get an interview with them outside of EJW! Waiting on Bronx... I really, really hope I get selected by them.

Thanks. I feel like everyone is waiting on Bronx. Based on my results thus far, I've given up hope for Bronx and Brooklyn. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than crushed... my coping mechanism, I guess. And if Philly really makes us wait til Monday, I'm going to pull my hair out!

On a better note, I'm just glad most of us have most of our results, either way. At least now we all know what we have to do. Like, the uncertainty is gone and we can now move forward applying independently and planning for table talk.

Happy Friday everyone and keep your chin up!

Same anon as above..ding at Colorado, dang, I was really hoping for them
Same anon, Palm beach ding..only one I haven't heard from is Brooklyn....I'm praying it's a preselect, 4 accepts and 4 dings would be a great turn out.

I booked the hotel before interviewing. They have a 24 hour cancellation policy, so you can cancel if you don't need it after all. But that way you still get the discount.

0/11 now. Still waiting on Philadelphia, Bronx, Brooklyn, and San Diego Federal.

Even if I go 0/15, I'll probably still do table talks, but it would have been nice to at least have ONE interview :P

Anyone else get an email for Hennepin telling them that they only select interviewees from areas outside of the Midbest and to email them if you are still interested? Not sure if they are actually wanting to interview me or everyone in the midwest got this.

Ding at Palm Beach. Accept at Brooklyn Defender (3L).

Count:

Good:

Kentucky (not surprising, as I've interviewed with them before and been given a soft job offer).
Mecklenberg County
Brooklyn Defender Services

Ding:

PB
Colorado
Orleans
NH
NJ
Hennepin County

Still out:

Philly
Bronx
Federal PD of San Diego

Hoping for one out of those three.

Ding at PB, Accept at Brooklyn Criminal Div. Holy Shit, I got Brooklyn! Didn't think I had a chance in hell there!

Thus far (3L):

Accept: Miami, Mecklenburg, Brooklyn
Ding: PB, OPD, NJ, NH, CO, FPD Arizona, Lawyers' Committee
Waiting: Bronx, Philly, FPD San Diego

Will be applying to OPD and PB independently, once I find out the best way to go about doing that.

Good luck to all!

Is anyone interested in rooming with me? Hotel is almost sold out, and the best rate was $600 (for both nights).

If it helps anyone, there is a Hilton a mile away (11 mins on the train) that was at $84 on Hotwire. That's where I will be.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
