Movement from non-USAO components on Avue:
"Greetings:
The National Security Division has identified some HP finalists but has not indicated that its selections are complete, so this is an interim update."

Since it is a slow news day, and I'm almost vibrating out of my seat, I'm going to start an in-thread list to keep track of each component. This list only reflects what we know for sure via Avue, but keeps it in one location, rather than requiring a skim of the community thread.

Great idea! Isn't there also a Chicago slot for ATR?Anonymous User wrote:Since it is a slow news day, and I'm almost vibrating out of my seat, I'm going to start an in-thread list to keep track of each component. USTP UPDATE:
I just called the office, and apparently the HR lady who is handling offers in on leave until Tuesday. So USTP kids, a few more days until fit hits the sham.
The reason I called is bc I got offered a clerkship yesterday and as they say, one in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.

Re: DOJ Honors Program 2014-15
Given that NSD was the first division to announce finalists last year, it's not surprising that they're the first non-USAO to post this year. Here's the order, day-by-day, of which divisions announced last year.
Fri, Nov 22 - "What Happens Next" post by Deana Willis
Wed, Dec 4 - NSD
Fri, Dec 6 - Antitrust, OPCL, DEA, Civ-Comm Lit, Crim-AFFP
Mon, Dec 9 - Civ-App, Civ-Cons Pro, Crim-Trial, OIP, Civ-FP
Tues, Dec 10 - Tax
Wed, Dec 11 - EOIR, ENRD, Civil Rights

Interesting. Do you know what day that second group came relative to the end of interviews? I really think Monday will be the day for most components.

It appears we're slightly ahead of schedule so far. I imagine the government shutdown is at least partially to blame for last year's schedule.

Any crim trial interviewees had their references contacted yet? I have not, and I'm hoping that's not a bad sign.

I haven't, but I also felt like I tanked my interview. So I'm not really expecting to have my references checked at all. Haha.Anonymous User wrote:Any crim trial interviewees had their references contacted yet? I have not, and I'm hoping that's not a bad sign.

Well, I don't know about you all, but I'm good and nervous today. I'll just be here at work, compulsively checking: TLS, Avue, and my cell phone.

Re: DOJ Honors Program 2014-15
Secretary for one of my recs (the one most likely to be called) said she'd let me know if DOJ reached out. No text from her yet. I can't imagine they don't call references before making the decision. It's also probably fairly difficult to narrow down from 36 to 8. I'd guess they decide on finalists Tuesday or Wed.Anonymous User wrote:I haven't, but I also felt like I tanked my interview. Any SDNY finalist care to post stats? I'm not sure how many of us there are
T14, top ~15%, no USAO experience, currently clerking.
