Yes, probably 3-4 weeks ago. I sent in my fall grades (which were very good) about 2 weeks ago.

Has anyone heard anymore at all from SWM in Miami? I interviewed there a month ago, sent my grades in last week, and sent another email on Monday saying I have another offer and I need to know by early next week. Radio silence all the way through....

Not sure if this is sarcastic, but I don't think it's that uncommon a practice as long as it's an honest, professional communication. If the firm (or other employer for that matter) actually wants you or is seriously considering you, they will appreciate knowing your other options and their timetables and they won't want to lose you to an inferior gig just because of timing. If the firm wasn't planning on hiring you in the first place, then, well, it doesn't make any difference. Now, if you are lying about having another offer just to elicit a faster response, then I agree, you're an idiot.

In at NYC V15. CCN, URM, but not a diversity position. Mass mail -> phone interview -> hire.
