This isn't helpful. You need to take a little break from posting.

Norton Rose Fulbright is looking to recruit an associate for its Asia competition team. This full-time associate position will be based in Hong Kong. Successful applicants will be joining a well-regarded competition and antitrust practice in Asia, with a varied work diet including cartel defense work, merger control, abuse of market power and antitrust litigation. The team is involved in many cases across Asia and represents a number of Asian companies in procedures in the EU, the US and Australia. The team’s China-related work is increasing significantly, and the position is specifically targeted at meeting the team’s needs in this regard. Accordingly, native Mandarin language skills are required, as well as a strong academic focus on antitrust. Prior work experience in a competition and antitrust team is a plus, although it is not required. Applicants who are not already qualified in their home jurisdiction will be expected to gain admission to the New York bar, as well as the Hong Kong bar in due course. The position is open to all recent and future JD and LLM graduates who meet the requirements

Interested applicants should contact Marc Waha, who heads the Asia competition practice.

The only thing I know about is that Davis Polk position that was posted back in earl Feb or late January, but I think anyone has heard. It was about securities compliance or something.

Not seeing anything on my T30 Symplicity either.

Are most of these 3L spring hiring jobs just not advertised? I'm starting to get the feel that most of the hiring that is going on now is just not being recruited from Symplicity, maybe from people the practice group in question actually knows.

I think 3L hiring is down (more so) this year. I've been checking various job postings on the BYU jobshair website, and it appears to be nationwide. While AmLaw and other legal magazines say law partners are more optimist this year relative to 2008, they are also being conservative with hiring. Add the fact that many firms slightly increased their summer classes and offer acceptance rates remain high, I think there will be fewer 3L positions at the larger firms.

Hey guys, so when firms are looking for 2014 graduates (where I assume they want someone to start in the fall), should December 2014 grads bother applying?

I don't think our classmates appreciate you increasing the competition pool when no one else seems to be posting anything else on their end. This is crunch time.

Do you want to be an apartment broker at Massey Knakal in New York? Because that's all that's posted on UChicago's Symplicity right now.

I'm aware. That's why I said what I said because I know exactly what school the people making these last posts have to go to. They need to relax.

I'm in Texas and this job wasn't on my school's symplicity. It was on a job email listserv I'm on. Regardless, I think there aren't many postings on here because of lack of jobs, not just lack of contribution.

I'm in NY and not top 14 and this was on our symplicity so I think they are advertising pretty widely...

The Private Investment Funds Group of the Ropes & Gray Corporate Department is seeking a Shanghai based entry-level associate. The ideal candidate would be interested in Fund Formation, particularly forming private investment funds such as private equity funds and venture capital funds. Preferred candidates will have familiarity with the relevant industry practices on such funds and U.S. securities related thereto. Mandarin fluency is preferred although not mandatory.
