I understand that Paul Hastings dinner = cb, but has anyone heard anything since?

I hadn't even heard of anyone being invited to a dinner with them. I guess I have to get better sources.

They had a dinner for 20-25 students who interviewed at the different offices. Everyone I know who was there received a CB. Don't know whether they are also extending CBs outside of the dinner invitation.

I wasn't at the dinner, but received a CB. There's hope.

King & Spalding Atlanta rejection by snail mail. GPA above their max on grade history chart. The interview went ok, but don't remember much about it-never a good sign.

For the person who received a CB from Hastings and was not invited to the dinner, was it a CA office? Also, any word from K+L Gates, Bryan Cave (CA), dla piper, Sheppard (CA)???

Had several of these- I can't be an absolutely terrible interviewer b/c I have gotten other CBs and I thought the interviews went well- I think it genuinely is about "fit."

I'm having similar problems w/ a similar GPA. Having heard anything from Shearman NY, Weil NY, Milbank NY, etc.

Also- I saw one reference to Skadden NY above. Anything definitive there? I feel like they should have moved by now.

Sheppard (all offices) let call-backs know on Tuesday.

So basically ~40% for NY and DC firms with 250+ attorneys. Shrug.

Expected return of 2.5 cb = 1 offer.

It only takes 2.5 callbacks...

This info is meaningless - it's for Fall 2009, the depths of the Great Recession and the legal hiring freeze.

If you look at firm summer associate numbers on NALP, you'll see that pretty much every firm had 1/2 fewer summers in 2010 than they did for summer 2011 and that they will for summer 2012. CB-to-offer ratios were probably highly deflated in Fall 2009 because firms were v conservatively extending offers.

Thus, the ratio will probably be much higher this year.
