auto-reject by Jenner & Block less than 48 hours after I applied. Just glad for feedback at this point - i've barely heard a peep from the other 50 mass mails I've sent out over the last month.

SLS rising 2L, Law Review, I have 4-5 Hs out of 13 classes.

When I cold e-mail firms, I have included my resume and a tailored cover letter. Should I also include a transcript? 4-5 Hs is basically median, maybe a smidgen above.

I would include a transcript. I don't see why they would extend an interview offer without even knowing what your grades are.

I waited about 2 weeks before following up to once again express my interest, though I think this is probably a bit too soon. Many firms don't even look at these mass-mails until mid-August, and some won't even look at them until after OCI.

Sent out ~10 apps in mid-July. Just followed up with all of them today basically saying I'm just making sure you got my stuff and I'm interested in talking about employment opportunities. Bad sign they didn't get back to me yet?

No, IMO. Recruiters are busy with laterals and post-SA offer stuff as well. Don't sweat it.

Don't worry about it. The one person who got back to me told me how busy it was with the summer program wrapping up, and getting everything coordinated for OCI. Trust me, they didn't forget about you.

Anon above: can you PM me the name (or post it anonymously)? Curious because I'm also a transfer who mass mailed NJ with only one response so far and I'm a bit concerned.

I have had no one reply to this type of follow-up. I don't think it is a bad sign, but it is certainly frustrating.

I think one of their offices did, but I just sent a resume and transcript out and they got back to me about two weeks after submission.

Was your ding after a mass mail or after a screener/callback? Just did an in-office screener with Shearman and am a little on edge about getting word back.
