Yes to all and if you're lucky, you may even be in the running for a callback, offer, and layoff at Latham. The rare triple crown.

Hard to get an interview (because of a high number of bids)? Yes.

Grade-picky for callbacks? No.

Have you not paid attention to the posts in this thread? There have been plenty of top quarter people looking at NYC. You can and should bid on every NYC firm with very few exceptions (Cravath, SullCrom, and maybe Boies Schiller).

Does anyone have a feel for what markets people on LR generally target? I'm trying to get a feel for when I can hope that a firm will preselect me and when I have to bid it high.

I guess I was speaking more towards having a realistic chance, as opposed to simply "should i bid on them."

If I didn't think you had a realistic chance, I wouldn't suggest bidding on them.

Can I ask if the island-guy from 1L orientation made it? I don't want his name, just a simple yes/no would be sufficient.

The list is here: --LinkRemoved--

I unfortunately don't know the name of this person (although I definitely have heard of him), but I hope he didn't make it.

Lol. I'm kinda surprised people still remember that. To any 0Ls browsing this thread, there's probably a lesson here re: defecating on people's traditions.

I don't recognize a lot of those names.

Hilarious that someone who was way too gunner to play the Island Game failed to meet his goal. Hahaha

Notably, island-guy was reported for breaking the journal tryout rules because he did the Bluebooking portion during his classes.

Is this even against the rules? I know skipping class is a violation.
