man like the only benefit of a law job is you can just do whatever with your time as long as the work is getting done/you're hitting hours.

not sure if its being treated as an adult or being ignored as a person sometimes has a benefit.

I do my best to hide it, and pull it out before someone comes in office... but what would reaction be if I got explicitly caught doing so?

I'm curious about the dipping question. If you are doing it in your office, and doing it discretely and cleanly, I don't see what the problem is if someone sees you spitting into an empty Starbucks cup or Mountain Dew bottle.

Obviously, you wouldn't want to do this around clients or in other important professional settings, but sitting in your office shouldn't be a big deal. I wonder if attitudes towards dipping vary more on a geographic location or possibly just firm to firm?

Not long ago I remember meeting a girl for the first time at a function with some friends. This girl was quite attractive. Anyway, we were riding in the car together and she pulled out a can of Skoal Green Apple flavored pouches and threw in a dip. Oddly enough, it was kind of a turn on.

I bumped into a partner I met two or three times during the summer. He asked me how everything's going, etc., then said he wants to make sure I'm not being treated any differently than anyone else. I was confused as to what this can refer to as I'm not very diverse.

Making sure you don't give your adversary the wrong docs

Next time a partner asks for your input on discovery, remind him to check his privilege

It might be that then. Come to think of it, nothing else really makes sense. I'm obviously not going to play along, but it seems like not a bad way to get more slack.

like 100% of our cleaning people are mentally handicapped, and I keep meaning to bring that up to HR as a lack of diversity in our workforce

The problem is that people think you're disgusting. And this is coming from someone who likes to dip

Yeah, there's a 99% chance that someone will find it disgusting. People think smoking is disgusting, and you're going to be spitting brown tobacco shit into a can on your desk. I think snus would be fine. Obviously you should get one that has smaller portions (do they have these? I only tried snus a few years ago when they were giving it away for free) so that you don't look like someone beat your ass.

Stayed past midnight for the second time, but this time it wss my fault and on a nonbillable matter and I was stupid enough to be self shamed out of expensing car service doesn't feel great.

Why didn't you just go home? The point of the car is if you are required to be in the office and since this was your fault it sounds like you didn't.

Fucking supplement update on foreign tax that my partner has put off doing for 15 years until he got a stub year associate to do it. I was dumb for not expensing it.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
