Has anyone who interviewed with EOIR OCIJ know if their references have been called yet?

I'm pretty sure OCIJ always calls references after they designate their finalists. That's how it was with SLIP last year.Anonymous User wrote:Has anyone who interviewed with EOIR OCIJ know if their references have been called yet?
Edit: this was also posted on Avue last year: They have a complex process associated with placement. It is my understanding that EOIR issues offers to candidates selected for a first-round offer on a rolling basis as they finish their reference checks. All offers are location-specific and are extended over the telephone.

Have people in ATR (DC) have or have not had their references checked?

Re: DOJ Honors 2015-16 Megathread
Well it seems like they are on a faster pace than in years past, maybe because of the sheer number they are taking, so I was just wondering if anyone else had heard from their contacts. In a perfect world, wouldn't we all like to know before finals?Anonymous User wrote:I'm pretty sure OCIJ always calls references after they designate their finalists. ^^ Second.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone out there know if ENRD has called references? I know my references haven't been called so I'm assuming the worst.
I interviewed with the ENRD and for the Indian Country Fellowship. As of today, my references indicated that they had not been contacted and my status has not changed on AVUE.
Is there any update on anyone else for either? I've not heard of any calls going out, references being contacted, or status changes for either. It would wonderful to get either one of these, but I'm just ready to know!

In regards to ATR (DC), my references have also been contacted. I think in ATR (DC), each panel calls the references of the candidates they interview. Meaning, everyone's references gets contacted? This is a speculation based on speculation from browsing other DOJ threads in the past.

Interviewed with more than one branch in Civil, and then with Criminal, and my references were checked, but I don't know by which branch, so could just be a faster moving one.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone who interviewed with Civil Division or a USAO have their references checked?
