Has anyone who interviewed with EOIR OCIJ know if their references have been called yet?

I'm pretty sure OCIJ always calls references after they designate their finalists. That's how it was with SLIP last year.

Edit: this was also posted on Avue last year: They have a complex process associated with placement. It is my understanding that EOIR issues offers to candidates selected for a first-round offer on a rolling basis as they finish their reference checks. All offers are location-specific and are extended over the telephone.

Have people in ATR (DC) have or have not had their references checked?

Well it seems like they are on a faster pace than in years past, maybe because of the sheer number they are taking, so I was just wondering if anyone else had heard from their contacts. In a perfect world, wouldn't we all like to know before finals?

^^ Second.

I interviewed with the ENRD and for the Indian Country Fellowship. As of today, my references indicated that they had not been contacted and my status has not changed on AVUE.

Is there any update on anyone else for either? I've not heard of any calls going out, references being contacted, or status changes for either. It would wonderful to get either one of these, but I'm just ready to know!

In regards to ATR (DC), my references have also been contacted. I think in ATR (DC), each panel calls the references of the candidates they interview. Meaning, everyone's references gets contacted? This is a speculation based on speculation from browsing other DOJ threads in the past.

Yup mine didn't change. I guess I'm gonna stay hopeful until she posts that all finalists are up.

Just posted on Avue! "Just confirmed by EOIR, more OCIJ finalists will be posted next week."

Interviewed with more than one branch in Civil, and then with Criminal, and my references were checked, but I don't know by which branch, so could just be a faster moving one.

I interviewed with one USAO (not NY) and one branch in civil and my references have not been contacted as far as I know.

Looks like more announcements are coming out, Deana just posted the following on Avue:

US Atty/Southern Dist of NY Finalists Up
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York has identified its finalists.

AFAIK, no references have been checked for BIA, OIL-DCS, or OIL-Appellate. Anyone hear differently?

Same for ENRD?? Based on the posts above, I am beginning to wonder if they have contacted anyone at all.

as someone whose references have been checked, i'd say you should hold out hope. no movement on my application status yet, so no reason to think they're done. hang in there and good luck, everyone.
