Oh, and just about everyone I work with is down to earth, nice, and makes the office a great place to work. We're ADA's for chrissake. If we were prestige douches we just would've done OCI and lost our souls in some high-rise office building in midtown.
I interned at DANY and had the same impression of the ADAs. Maybe I just got incredibly lucky with my trial bureau placement (or prestige douches wouldn't lower themselves to talk to interns), but every ADA I interacted with was dedicated to the work, clearly intelligent, helpful, and welcoming.
I've also heard (from ADAs) that they're purposefully very aggressive/confrontational in interviews, but it's mostly just an act.
Also - again, maybe just a function of the trial bureau I was in, but no one in the handful of ADAs I talked to about their long term plans (maybe 8 or 9 of them) were interested in white collar.
