Because nothing you posted was potentially outing or sensitive in any way whatsoever. It was a benign statement; that's not what the anon function is for.Anonymous User wrote:Same anon as above. And to defend the tie in business casual, I was also told that when dressing biz cas you start as if you were dressing formal and remove what you need to in order to look casual but be ready to go at a moments notice if you need formal. I've always worn a tie during biz casual and assumed thats how the world worked, my bad.
Also lolling at a tie with no jacket. That's bar mitzvah after-party status

lol. Maybe at top-bank-tellers.comAnonymous User wrote:You should still be wearing a tie at a biz casual firm though.you can't cognitive dissonance your way to this. it's more expensive working at a formal firm and it sucks balls putting on a tie everyday, wearing your top button buttoned, and wearing a coat in summer heat. there's no worry about what to do first day - either suit or no suit is fine at biz cash.

It makes sense this anon would want to avoid associating himself with wearing a tie with no jacketAnonymous User wrote:Same anon as above. How is that anon abuse? Checking in...
My firm has a formal event in a few weeks where dates are encouraged to attend. My girlfriend is in a different city. Would it be wise to try and find a date on tinder or even hire an escort service for the purposes of this function? I want to make a good impression.

I'm a bit concerned because it may seem trashy. I wouldn't tell anyone it was an escort, but if the lady shows up looking all skanky then the jig will be up. What I'd really like to know is if there are LEGITIMATE escort services for this type of situation?Cobretti wrote:lol oh god please bring an escort and tell us how it goesClubberLang wrote:Checking in...

There are definitely good K Cups, you just have to find them. If you like dark, bold coffee, true Van Houtte Eclipse Blend. That being said, there is definitely WAY better coffee out there.

you shouldn't have to pay someone to attend an open bar event with a BL SA unless you are either insufferable or fugly as fuck. use grindr or tinder and do what needs to be done.

Anybody else in this thread take caffeine pills rather than coffee? I'm a true believer in caffeine + theanine. Maybe I'll pop pills in seclusion, since popping pills in the office is prob frowned upon

If girlfriend is unavailable, then professional escort + shirt & tie is TCR.ClubberLang wrote:Checking in...

in SF no one wears a tie absent court/first meeting with potential client, and plenty of folks (gasp) wear coats w/o ties. tbf tho, the true SF look is no tie + fleece vest, so wearing a coat is already mad formal

if i can bestow one piece of advice on you all, it is this:
if you think you are in the clear to break wind in your office, i can guarantee that an associate/partner will walk in no later than 30 seconds after said relief. just go to the effing bathroom.
