Anyone still interviewing with W&C? I feel like I've been waiting for ages.

Same, CB with them two weeks and one day ago. Heard from recruiter Monday, said they are still making a decision, even though originally they said it would be within two weeks. haven't heard of any W&C DC offers yet... or dings from a CB for that matter

Rumor mill had another UVA student interviewing with them on Monday. We'll probably have to wait a bit more.

is this white and case or williams connolly? also has anyone heard from baker mckenzie or mayer brown?

Not UVA but a peer school... FYI K&S gave out all the CBs within two-three days of screeners and sent all the dings out a few weeks after our OCI

Just picked up two big law callbacks in major markets from very, very recent mass mailing. There is hope, kids!

Mass mailing definitely works. I got 3 CBs in one major market I had strong ties to and one callback (and V40 offer) in a major market I didn't have any real ties to. I'm at the median too, so I will definitely echo the don't lose hope spiel. Grades are definitely not everything (I'm accepting at a V10). Keep the hustle up everyone!

If you don't mind me asking, how many firms did you individually e-mail? Did you e-mail directly to the recruiter or did you apply directly through the website?

This is prime time to be mass mailing. Starting a week earlier changes things in that you have a sense of possibly striking out much earlier on. If you didn't mass mail yet it's still not too late. Not the same anon you posed the question to, but I'd do it as per what the website says. If you're around median expecting more than a 2-3 percent video screener/cb is hopeful. For what it's worth my screener to CB ratio was identical for skype screeners as it was preselects.

FWIW I'm comfortably above median but no work experience and a public service background.

I'm the OP that was quoted. I applied to maybe 400 or so firms. Only about 100 rejected me, the 4 I mentioned got back to me at various times (some within days, others within weeks). The remaining 296ish are outstanding and I'm sure I'll continue to get dings (and some CB invites) as the recruiting season unfolds. The offer I am taking I got through OGI. I emailed the recruiter in every case, though one CB invite was a phone call from a UVA alum who "made it his mission to get UVA kids in the door"

I also wouldn't worry about being asked why you didn't bid them initially. I think it's assumed why you didn't, and if they are extending you a screener aren't going to shoot you in the foot. I know I was worried about this, but it was not something that came up.

FWIW I've been asked a couple times during mass mail screeners why I didn't bid firms at OGI, so having something in the back of your mind won't hurt.
