Does anyone know what it means if we haven't heard from NY firms that have offered callbacks? ( Dechert, Cadwalader) Does that mean we are rejected or we are on a "maybe" or waitlist?

So during my Chadbourne interview, the interviewer was doing stuff on his ipad the whole time. At first, I thought he was looking at my resume, but then I saw him typing stuff. I subsequently got a ding. Should I take this as a sign that my resume made me an auto reject and he had no interest in devoting his whole attention to the interview? Wondering if I should apply this logic to other interviews,

If they've offered callbacks, then yes, you are rejected. Only if they've offered callbacks AND rejected other people, could it be a maybe.

No. During my Chadbourne interview (haven't heard back either good or bad so take it with a grain of salt) but my interviewer told me that they had given the interviewers ipads and they were supposed to fill out the forms and eval sheets as it went. Thus, your interviewer was probably doing that and not simply showing little interest in you.

Anybody around median have any callbacks? I'm getting rocked. 4 rejections and silence from everywhere else (3 of them are ones who have made callbacks).

I know people slightly above median with more than one. Are you at or below? Only person I know who's definitely below has 0 thus far.

I am a little below median... 3 rejections, no callbacks. Also know of 3 that have offered callbacks that I've heard silence from but I haven't heard of rejections from those either so I am guessing I'm rejected...

Below median, no IP, 2 callbacks. I'm as surprised as you are. Smaller firms though.

Anyone hear back from Covington, W&C, Baker Hostetler, or Holland & Knight?

It's been radio silence for me since those interviews.

Two CBs- Kirkland, Boies Schiller.

All firms sending dings by snail mail can go die in a fire.

Just got a ding letter from Covington & Burling in the mail.

I would much prefer an email....
