Could have been worse--she could have called you to reject you. I think Orrick has realized this is terrible PR and have stopped doing it.
They actually used to do that? How insanely awkward? "Oh hey! Yes, it was wonderful meeting you as well! Oh btw, no jerb for you"

Curious about this too. I have yet to hear either way from a single firm. Fair amount of non-ny, but fair amount of ny as well. Checked my resume a billion times to affirm correct contact info. This is just disconcerting...

Remember that not all firms make calls quickly. Many will do it over the course of a few days. For example, it is certainly possible that a firm that interviewed last Wednesday will make calls to us into the later half of this week. Don't expect rhyme or reason, and don't take silence at this point as a surefire ding.

Any news on rumored S&C dinner? Thought that was one of my best interviews and hadn't heard of this.

GDC on the other hand is enjoying its multiple dinners as we post, sigh.

Yep, just a few minutes ago. That particular set of interviewers obviously wanted to get some calls out quick.

I saw someone mention a ding from Simpson, so if you haven't heard anything yet it might not be bad news.

Congrats. EM wasn't my interviewer, but my Dechert interview was probably my tops of the day, so I'm crossing my fingers that my interviewer gets em' out fast as well.
