Are there any 3Ls out there who can weigh in on waiting for a callback? This wait feels disappointing and eternal

Not OP, but GDP, W&C, Covington, PW (all DC).

3L again. I'll just say that it's really disappointing to not land a callback after a screener that probably feels that it went really well. But sometimes that's just what happens. The interviewers make arbitrary decisions and sometimes you don't make the cut.

I received a few callbacks a couple days after the screener, but I think if you haven't received a callback 24 hours after your screener, it's best to treat it as a rejection and move on. If you end up with the callback, great! If not, it's best to move on and focus on the callbacks that you did get. It's best for peace of mind.

PW (DC) callbacks happened on Tuesday, but the others are still outstanding.

Thanks! I should have been clearer up front--this year is especially slow. None of those firms appear to have moved according to OCS. This year has been really weird, with Cravath waiting several days, Cleary still not dropping, etc. I know Covington has not dropped because my references were contacted only today but I interviewed on Tuesday. DC seems particularly slow.

According to Dean Ricardo this morning, GDC, Covington, and W&C have not moved. She also said that because of how DC timing works scheduling those callbacks around the 27th-28th would not have a detrimental effect on chances and could even be early. Hopefully this helps someone.

Have they not moved in NY either or is this DC-specific? Focused on GDC NY
