I suspect that person may have been a SLIP posting on the wrong thread because the SLIP thread blew up with OCIJ.

I'm an honors applicant and I interviewed with half a dozen or so offices in both EOIR and the civil division and to my knowledge none of my references have been contacted. Is it about time to start giving up hope?

No, it's not time to give up hope yet. The offers are barely beginning.

It is still early. I also interviewed with multiple EOIR offices and haven't heard my references being contacted either. OCIJ and BIA. What offices in EOIR did you interview for?Anonymous User wrote:I'm an honors applicant and I interviewed with half a dozen or so offices in both EOIR and the civil division and to my knowledge none of my references have been contacted. And specify the component and when you interviewed. If anyone has their status change to finalist, is given an offer, or has references checked today please post.
If component is OCIJ, please also mention if you checked the "go anywhere" box.
Note: at least one of my friends, who interviewed in the first week with OCIJ and checked the go anywhere box, had their references checked already, via an emailed form. (This happened within two weeks after her interview and before I had even interviewed.)

interviewed for CRT & EOIR; just looked and the "EOIR" component is gone, with "selected for interview" status still there for CRT. I am guessing this means I am no longer considered for EOIR?

It could mean that they're just getting ready to bust a move?soph00000 wrote:Anonymous User wrote:I don't know, but EOIR-OCIJ disappeared for me as well. from looking at last year's thread, I think that means you ARE being considered for EOIR and that CRT is still pending. EOIR will likely reappear with finalist. That's what was going on last year.Anonymous User wrote:It could mean that they're just getting ready to bust a move?soph00000 wrote:Anonymous User wrote:I don't know, but EOIR-OCIJ disappeared for me as well. EOIR-OCIJ also disappeared for me within the last two hours. Vet just told me that means they're getting ready to switch the designation to finalist...Anonymous User wrote:I don't know, but EOIR-OCIJ disappeared for me as well. So if it hasn’t disappeared—safe to say no finalist designation coming?

For those who have had a component disappear was there anyone who only had one component they interviewed for and that disappeared or is it only people with multiple components listed that are seeing one disappear?Anonymous User wrote:So if it hasn’t disappeared—safe to say no finalist designation coming?

Great, I'll just spend the rest of the day-before-my-Corporations exam obsessively refreshing this.Anonymous User wrote:EOIR-OCIJ also disappeared for me within the last two hours. Finalist for CIV Torts and FedP (also interviewed for Comm Lit and OIL DC which is not listed). I also interviewed for USA EDCal but turned down the final interview for anybody potentially waiting on that office.

I only interviewed with EOIR-OCIJ, and my "Selected By" component is gone while my status still says "Selected for Interview."
