If someone with the same interviewer has CB does that mean you're out?

Yes and no. If callbacks are by phone it'll take at least some time to call through the list. Beyond that, While it's not impossible to still get a call, typically, you are likely to be out of luck.

Most likely that means you're out, but depending on the firm's process, you might not be totally sunk. Some firms will keep some candidates on a "maybe" list and not give them a CB initially, but if several of the candidates they do offer CBs to turn them down, they may then turn to the maybe list. Of course, odds are low and it doesn't make sense to hold out hope for a particular firm, especially when you have two more days of screeners to go. Key to remember through this process not to get too attached to any one firm.

^this last sentence is key. I didn't get my first or second choice firms, even though my grades were clearly sufficient. That has made no difference in my career, but more importantly you have ti rill with the endemic randomness in the process

I asked my advisor the same question. She said yes. Call the interviewer as well as the recruiting ppl.

Yeah for sure. I just wouldn't worry about contact with that person having any impact on the ultimate decision. Unless you have a unique connection with them, they've done their job and are passing the baton to the people you meet at the callback.
