I had a department show up on my "Selected By" area sometime between Friday and today. Not sure if someone withdrew or they decided to interview more people or what. I wasn't on the "leak" for this department. I suggest you all check again unless you went 3 for 3.

Just checked, and nothing for me. Can I ask if it was one of the crim sections?

It was not.

ATR field office? Alternatively, it might be easier if you told us instead of us mass guessing, but I understand if you don't want to do that.

Someone from one of the components interviewing called. They just wanted to see if I had any questions before my interview (they also pitched me pretty hard on the component). Just a heads up that that could happen.

I didn't do SLIP and I have two interviews. I also know two people that have gotten a position that didn't do SLIP.

Sorry would rather not. It wasn't a big deal at all, just didn't know what to expect when I found out they were calling me.

I didn't do SLIP. Don't discount yourself. Getting an interview is a huge deal. They already think you're qualified, now you just have to show them you are someone they would want to work with.

I sent mine in several days ago, no response. Received my itinerary today, but no idea what time the actual interview is.

^^^ This. Deanna said they have to fill interviews first week to last. So if you're not going the first week, you will just probably have to wait.

So any interview insight from those who have gone through the process? Is it like a BigLaw SA interview where they're just checking to make sure you're not a weirdo? Do they throw hypos at you? Do they ask substantive questions? etc.

Probably going to depend on the component, honestly. I would say somewhat more substantive than the way the typical SA interview is described (though one guy did spend half the interview talking with me about Italy, but I interviewed with like 7 other people as well for that job). I interviewed with a USAO and 2 EOIR components and didn't get hypos, but can't say it doesn't happen ever. It's mostly likely to be a typical government interview - have a good answer for "why government" and "why this component." Also "tell us about yourself" and "where do you see yourself in 5/10 years." Also things like "what about your background makes you suited for this position." Of course, if you have an interview for one of the EOIR IJ clerkships you're going to get different questions than, say, tax or antitrust.

I haven't received mine yet either, but the directions seemed to indicate that we might not receive it until the Wednesday before our interview week at the latest.
