Have a CB scheduled in a week. Would it be appropriate to reach out to alumni at the firm for information and advice about the firm?

Are people still sitting on multiple offers from v 20 firms? Wondering if it is too late to expect any movement on waitlists at this point.

I am still waiting on a response from a CB that happened in mid-September from a firm ranked between v15 and v30. They are very nice and respond back to my e-mails but I was wondering if there has historically been any offers at this point in time? Also - who could possibly be sitting on multiple offers this late in the process?
