I'm glad someone is asking about Kelly Hart. I really liked interviewing with them.

Also received a HayBoo (Dallas) ding today.
I know Baker Botts has extended offers and CBs, have they also sent out their dings?

Posting from a similarly ranked school. How long did it take for y'all to hear back from Fish & Richardson? It seems as though no one actually knows the answer to this.

FIsh got back to me quite quickly as a ding. The callbacks were given quite quickly I believe.
I have not received a BB ding.

Re: University of Texas 2015 OCI
I remember from 1L, Baker Botts being very slow to ding after callbacks for some people, but it's because they sometimes do make late decisions after callbacks.
No idea if this is the same for OCI. If you still haven't gotten a callback however, well...

I'm just going to call that a strike-out, then. Turns out grades aren't everything.

Seemed like feast or famine this year, with not a whole lot of middle ground.

Way way way too early to call it a strike out. Mass mail. Then mass mail again. And again. Even if you got dinged, go up the ladder and apply to hiring partners/practice group partners directly. Try other markets. Then watch companies that have big entry-level in-house departments/jd advantage roles like a hawk. There are still a lot of great jobs to be had; admitting defeat is not the answer right now.

What is the time period between CB and offer/ding? I haven't heard back from lots of places, and it seems like I am in the hold stack.

Where are in-house positions posted? Symplicity or directly on the company's website?

Ranges between day of to never. Usually about a week or so for offers and 1-4 weeks for dings from my experience.Anonymous User wrote:What is the time period between CB and offer/ding? I haven't heard back from lots of places, and it seems like I am in the hold stack.
Definitely check both.Anonymous User wrote:Where are in-house positions posted? Symplicity or directly on the company's website?

I meant struck out of OCI, purely. I mass mailed a week ago already, some a few days ago, some even yesterday, but no response so far. I got one CB from a symplicity posting, that's the only live thing i've got.Way way way too early to call it a strike out. Mass mail. Then mass mail again. And again. It feels like defeat, especially after some of the markets i applied to. One random associate i clicked on graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law of the Illinois Institute of Technology, *cum laude*. I bet we have a bunch in common.

Yes. I know of at least one.Anonymous User wrote:Any NRF offers out?
Just stick to it dude(tte). Start hustling. CSO. Random connections. Hell, join a student org (like a good one TJOGEL, TBLS, affinity group, Fed Soc, etc.). Be semi-active in that because people truly underestimate how good those are for meeting lawyers. Reach out to other people you've talked to.Anonymous User wrote:I meant struck out of OCI, purely. You have to be hungrier than hungry. It's a bloodbath and as it's already been described, it's a lot of all or nothing, and trust me, a lot of those people with a bunch of offers are hungry, still. They're hunting for trophies and mantle-pieces while you're trying to find a meal. You should be hustling to the point that you feel exhausted. Why? It's the first few weeks of school. You have almost nothing to lose.
Look, I'm not saying any of this will for sure work, because you have to prepare yourself for that potential, but you have to use these next few weeks to apply to any and every firm & company that you swear you'd never work for doing whatever seems boring and/or morally reprehensible in every place you swear you'd never work or never could work if you wanted to, because if you don't blanket the map, you'll regret it.
And good luck on that callback. I have faith.

Re: University of Texas 2015 OCI
Why are you clicking on one random associate and allowing yourself to get discouraged? jusr learn how to use search operators in google. You can find pretty much instantly everyone who went to your undergrad/law school at every firm. E.g. "site:andrewskurth.com/people "university of texas" "kansas state university"". Every big firm has someone similar to you whom you can mass mail, and they're not hard to find.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
