Re: 3L OCI
I recently mass mailed a firm and specified a general interest in corporate work. I received a response stating that the firm was still reviewing their needs and would get back to me. The firm has since posted an opening on symplicity for an opening in the specific corporate group I'm interested in. Should I submit a second application through symplicity for the group I want or would that be ill-advised?

Anyone have DPW interviews recently? Mine is next week, but now that they're sending actual dings, sorta wondering if they met their 3L needs already.

I wouldn't worry about that necessarily. I had my interview about a month ago and received a ding a week later. They may have not found what they're looking for.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone have DPW interviews recently? I had my DPW callback yesterday. I think they're still looking for 3L's particularly in lit.

A friend of mine at a V100 wants to shoot higher due to long term career goal considerations. Is mass mailing this late a waste of time?

Re: 3L OCI
I'm interviewing with DPW this week, but no way I'm lying that I want to be a litigator. If they ding me, so be it.
Anyone else get invited to a cocktail at Loeb & Loeb? I'm waiting to RSVP to see if an interview might also be coming, so I wouldn't have to pay my own travel.
Also interviewing with FTC Honors, but not really this threads topic.

Re: 3L OCI
Some firms (STB for one) have said earlier in the summer in response to mailing that they won't start assessing possible 3L needs until September. So I'd give it a shot. Nothing to lose really. Besides upsetting the current firm by dragging things out, but I don't think that's a serious concern.Anonymous User wrote:A friend of mine at a V100 wants to shoot higher due to long term career goal considerations. damn, good for you!! had no idea the other LA ones were even interviewing since i was flat out rejected w/o any spots haha.
seems like a couple people here interviewed with DPW last week and this week, so hopefully we'll get some offer news after the labor day holiday... fwiw when i booked mine for this week, i remember there was only one more week to sign up, so perhaps they anticipate being done interviewing 3Ls by then.

Yep, over a week ago. They said they were looking to move quickly so I'm figuring a ding but it's still kind of odd.Anonymous User wrote:I know of two offers from there. But radio silence for me. Did you have a CB there?Anonymous User wrote:Any movement from Sidley Chicago?

It's 3L year, and mass-mailing doesn't take that long. It's never a bad idea to mass-mail unless you think your firm will informally give you crap for it.Anonymous User wrote:A friend of mine at a V100 wants to shoot higher due to long term career goal considerations. Re: 3L OCI
People who have gotten DPW offers - do you happen to know if they moved more slowly than they did for 2L's. I'm presumptively out, but hope is alright too...
