Baker Botts interviewed a bunch of people at UT last week (after grades came out) and offered to at least one student. V&E is interviewing tomorrow.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone have information on these firms:

I'm not the OP but interviewed with the diversity program (pre-grades) and was under the impression from HR that there aren't callbacks... but maybe I was mistaken?Anonymous User wrote:Is this for the diversity program? Re: Heard Back For 1L SA Position
Baker Botts Houston (along with the other Big 3 from what I have been told) has conducted many 1L interviews and made offers without grades. The interviews are still on-going, but most have been from T10 and UT. BB did on-campus interviews at UT last week.

Re: Heard Back For 1L SA Position
Question!
Received an offer yesterday from Firm #1 with a two-week exploding deadline. I have a separate CB with Firm #2 scheduled next Wednesday for a different market. Should I notify Firm #2 of this offer ahead of the CB?
My initial impression is no and that I should wait until the CB, at which point I can notify the recruiting coordinator post-CB of my impending deadline (which at that point will be one week away).
Thoughts?

Re: Heard Back For 1L SA Position
I'm in the same boat as you, offer in one market and CB in another next week. I was thinking the same thing you were and was going to mention it during the interview next week. I figured there's nothing that would change between now and the CB, so there's no point in mentioning it before then.Anonymous User wrote:Question!

Invite from Latham Watkins DC for lunch (no 1L possibility, but schmoozing for 2L it seems.)
Grade requests from McKenna Long DC and Cadwalader NY.

Re: Heard Back For 1L SA Position
Grades are back and around top third at DCNG; diverse as well.
Haven't sent out anything yet--worth it to start applying to any/every diversity fellowship thing or should I focus on school and take an RA position + work at a clinic over the summer?

Applied to secondary markets where I have ties around the beginning of December, so far nothing but dings or silence. Top 15% at MVP, non-diverse. Safe to say this isn't happening or still too early on in the process?
