No, I don't think so. Considering they're not a NY firm, I doubt they give same-day offers.Anonymous User wrote:How early this week? Any friday interviews?Anonymous User wrote:UT students who interviewed at Fulbright Houston this week or earlier have started receiving offers.

Trying to decide between Baker Botts and V&E (both Houston). Looking to do corporate work. Any advice, and why?

I think the general consensus on these boards is that V&E is a better Corporate option than BB - not to mention the fact that BB has a reputation as a miserable place to work. Personally, if I wanted to do Corporate work in Houston, I would have V&E and Latham as my top two choices, then AK, then Bracewell (both being very close behind my other choices), and then BB.Anonymous User wrote:Trying to decide between Baker Botts and V&E (both Houston). on that note, what about deciding between Latham and V&E? (obviously corp as Latham has no lit)Anonymous User wrote:I think the general consensus on these boards is that V&E is a better Corporate option than BB - not to mention the fact that BB has a reputation as a miserable place to work. Tough call - I think I would choose mostly based on culture.Anonymous User wrote:on that note, what about deciding between Latham and V&E? At the end of the day, I encourage everyone to place less emphasis on rankings and the like and more emphasis on culture and firms where you will connect with the partners. So much of one's career is determined by politics, and if you're at the "top" shop in town but don't click with the partners, your career isn't going to go anywhere and you'll be looking for a job in a few years.
