oh well... I guess I deserved that ding. I know MN firms are apprehensive to Chicago ppl because many of them have issues with associates lateraling after a few years.

The only two people I know who interviewed with LA got it, and the only two people I've talked to who interviewed with another office didn't. Small sample size, but it feels like only LA is doing it.

I would guess that based on the way things are so far only QE LA would since they have a named partner there and he has the juice to do whatever the hell he wants.

Are you sure the dinner is for callbacks only, or just people that are in the pool of CBs? I wasn't sure if was the case because it wasn't clear from the interviewers
