I went on a callback that was scheduled to last 1.5 hours (three half hour interviews). The final interviewer went over by 45 mins so it ended up being stretched out. One hour callback is prolly the best thing you could hope for. Less stress, fewer people to please.

I have no dog in this fight, but I noticed quite a few people here talking about "explaining" their grades. IMO, rule number one of interviewing is never discuss your grades unless they ask you about them. Especially at a school like Michigan!? Don't understand why you would ever mention them unless asked.

That's what I had heard too. I obviously didn't get the call that week but I still haven't heard heads or tails from them. Any idea if the early calls were just some great students ("Top 5% + LR" types) getting CBs? Has anyone received dings from JD - Chicago yet?

Not sure of anyone who got a ding from there, but I'm neither top 5% nor LR, so that much is out.

If that's the case, then I probably won't get the CB. However, I will hold on to the hope that the reason I haven't heard yet is because they're debating mightily over whether to invite me or not.

Just not with them :(.

I love the contrived bullshit they say in all the rejection letters I've gotten.

When you think about them sending a letter like that to someone at the bottom of the class, it's just sickening. I wish they'd just say, "We barely have two nickels to rub together for SA hiring this year, and we're giving them both to some law review kids."
