Deb has given out multiples offers at NYU now, if you haven't heard you are probs in the waitlist group.

Interested in transactional and trying to pick between Gibson vs Latham. Any advice would be appreciated. Does anyone know why Latham seems to be unpopular with NYU students?

Why do you think Latham is unpopular with NYU students? Per our office of career services, it's one of the most bid on firms for WIP.

Heard from a few upperclassmen, and per our OCS stats it seemed that only 3/15 students accepted their offer which seems low in comparison to other firms.

People getting an offer from Latham probably also have offers from one if not more v10 firms with lockstep. There were some recession talks in 2018 and 2019, and Latham did you-know-what in 2008, so that may be an important factor. But seems like they are doing super well during the pandemic compared to many its peer firms. Both good options, but for corp I think Latham has an edge.

just to contribute data point - i know at least 2 3Ls taking cravath over latham last year

For data point too I had my Deb callback almost 2 weeks ago. Got the offer the next day in the evening.
