i found the bronx final interview difficult cause of the general questions and the quick nature of it. Do not really know what to think about it.

For those who received Bronx offers: how long did you wait between having your final round and getting the offer?
And Manhattan: how long did you wait in between having your second round and being invited for a third round?

Manhattan - waited 6 weeks between second round and getting the call about the third round. From then it moved really fast and I had my 3rd round, 4th round and offer within a week.

Any particular time of day that Bronx is making the calls for offers? Keeping my phone glued to my side all day everyday

Dinged from Queens.
There was no way to schedule my third round prior to Bronx's deadline. Was told they had to let go of a lot of people for the Bronx, so good luck to those still in the running at queens!

I received an offer from the Bronx around a week after my final, third round interview. I received an offer from Brooklyn at my final, fourth round interview.

I was 6 weeks between 1 and 2, 6 days between 2 and 3 - I got a competing offer before coming in for 3, so 3 to 4 was accelerated.Manhattan - waited 6 weeks between second round and getting the call about the third round. Is Bronx lined up to have a HUGE class this year or is it just trying to poach candidates who end up in NY County anyway.

Is it ever appropriate to call and check the status of your application without a competing offer?

Re: District Attorney Offices 2016
It seems like both. Hoping there's still a good number of Bronx spots since its still early and some of the offers already given out were turned down for other offices.fauxpsych wrote:Is Bronx lined up to have a HUGE class this year or is it just trying to poach candidates who end up in NY County anyway.

I've sent an email to update offices if i fall more than 1 round behind (i.e. let queens know that I only did 1 there, but am now on final in Bronx)Anonymous User wrote:Is it ever appropriate to call and check the status of your application without a competing offer?
Calling usually goes straight to voicemail and I wouldn't call unless you have a specific question (like a deferment question).
However if it's been like 2+ months call and see if a person accidentally picks up.

Congrats @fauxpsych! I got an offer from Bronx, but it didn't mention a specific bureau. How do you know you'll be with appeals?

I think everyone else is going to go through trial training while they stick us nerds up in the library.

Offer from Manhattan this week.
Top 33% at T20. Bilingual, STEM background, good softs.
Was also offered Bronx, Brooklyn, Philly, and Miami, in order of preference.
Rejected from Queens, pending at Cook County.
