you can apply via email for places you didn't apply for a preselect with but you're interested in meeting?
That's the impression that I got from reading the EJW; PD/Prosecution; 3L public defender forum. I hope someone who has went through EJW as a 3L can clarify!
But, I'm guessing that, since they get a BUNCH of applications via EJW, they can only take so much interviews. I'm thinking about applying directly to a PD office that rejected me here in EJW.

How would you go about phrasing the cover letter? Would you mention that you had initially applied?

Yeah, that's a good question. I'll talk to the career office and ask what their thoughts on that is. But I'm definitely applying again, since I really want to work for this particular PD office.

This is the most depressing day ever. Even 1 accept isn't helping against 5 rejects. And still waiting on 7.

What's this? You talking about the SD FPD? They hire undergraduates, and their job posting says they are interviewing 3L's, as well as graduates.

No, an office in Arizona was also hiring, but apparently only for experienced attorneys.

Ding from Public Defender's Office - Miami, FL.
Ahh, well. I've been a bad, bad girl and I'm unlikely to even pass FL's notorious C&F process.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
