Sorry I meant in general. I don't know any transfers' results.Anonymous User wrote:Silence on my end. Not holding out hope for OCI, starting to prepare for the worst. I really just want feedback on if I'm striking out on the interview, or its just the fact that they'd rather have non-transfers.Anonymous User wrote:In general, it seems like it's feast or famine thus far. Some people are doing great, and others have nothing. I haven't heard a ton of firms that have confirmed CBs yet, so I'm still holding out hope that there is a chance with some of the places I interviewed with Wednesday & Thursday.Anonymous User wrote:I've talked with 3 transfers this cycle and god damn, it's not looking not good. Collectively over 60 interviews thus far and not a single callback. I wonder if the firms are still trying to figure out what to do with transfers after UT's massive transfer class last year?
For those transfers that you've heard that have done well were they IP?

Callback invite and reception invite were same email, unless that wasn't uniform; I think it was though.Anonymous User wrote:Any V&E yet?

I'm at a non-Texas school where the reception was before the screener. About how long from screener to callback did they take?Anonymous User wrote:Callback invite and reception invite were same email, unless that wasn't uniform; I think it was though.Anonymous User wrote:Any V&E yet?

Once you get past day 1 and a couple of the day 2 firms, you get into the firms that take longer with their CBs. (I had one that was 8 days after the screener, and others of various lengths. And I got contacted for a resume drop interview in November that I didn't remember doing a drop for. I had to go back on symplicity just to remind myself how I had applied.Anonymous User wrote: Silence on my end. Not holding out hope for OCI, starting to prepare for the worst. Anyone know anything about K&L Gates in Dallas?
Also, does Baker Botts (Dallas) have much of an energy practice or is that pretty much just in Houston? What are that office's major practice areas?

Oh wow, thanks I never would have thought of that. The NALP forms for these firms aren't that helpful and put a very broad label on stuff. I mean who knew that Corporate and Litigation were their two biggest practice areas. Chambers is usually a better resource, but it still doesn't necessarily tell me if it's a good idea to use "Because Energy" as part of my "Why Us?" answer.Anonymous User wrote:No offense but NALP?Anonymous User wrote:Anyone know anything about K&L Gates in Dallas?

For Dallas it's probably less of a major thing, but it's still gonna a lot of their work
Edit: referring to energy. Dallas also houses some of their IP and stuff

Are Dallas and Houston markets where thank you notes are essentially required after callbacks?
