Got cadwalader, disappointed not to get Lewis Rice though. I thought that interview went very well, but maybe I was doomed by my lack of ties once again.

Is BC STL out or was it another office?

Anything from V&E? It sounded like they were going to have a quick turnaround.

Jesus. I got fucking slaughtered in StL. But that was somewhat expected after not getting screeners with some of the big firms here.

I would be careful before you blame it on ties for Lewis Rice. During my interview the recruiter specifically mentioned that he had no ties to St. Louis and only accepted the position in order to transfer to the West Coast. He said that he stuck around because it was such a great firm. We chatted for a bit about how ridiculous STL was about wanting ties and he mentioned that while he understood my wanting to work for a good firm rather than in a specific location, I shouldn't mention that to partners at Lewis Rice.

I ended up getting a callback so I don't think he was looking for strong STL ties...

Congrats. By the way, just because you got it does not mean that I wouldn't have gotten it if I had ties. Jus sayin

Lewis Rice is not looking for very many SA's this summer either, so they may be an exception to the other firms cause they're only looking for 1, maybe two SA's. They're more on the old model of hiring 1L SA's and keeping them around.

They weren't hiring for Denver or Vegas. He was pretty much just looking for Phoenix and apparently only 1 person had said Phoenix when I met with him around 3:00.

Some firms really do take two weeks. I had a callback last year that came at least three weeks after the screener.
