I'm at a school in the northeast so the interview/offer process mostly happened while I was back in Dallas over the break-- some firms are still waiting on grades thoughAnonymous User wrote:When did you get the offer?gcd0224 wrote:Anyone looking at V&E Dallas? Probably going to accept that offer

Did the invite specifically say it was a screener? What's screener even mean in this context?Anonymous User wrote:In-office screener invite from Skadden NY for next week.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone heard from S&C, Cravath or Skadden?

Re: Heard Back For 1L SA Position
wow! Congrats on the incredible grades! I remember you well from the application cycle, although I don't know you IRL. I suppose your choice worked out wellmegagnarley wrote:Sitting just above a 4.0 at MVP with one grade still pending which may not come in for another week.
Anyone think I should submit now with two grades to try and get my foot in the door before classes fill up, and then update when the third grade drops?
Also...to the places I applied to pre-grades that haven't replied, should I follow up with grades in a similar fashion?
Thank you wise and venerable souls.
Edit: forgot to go anon but no one on TLS has any idea who I am in real life so it's all good

Any general wisdom on how to send grade updates? Send it to the recruiting manager or hiring partner? Include a quick note affirming interest? etc.

Re: Heard Back For 1L SA Position
Hey guys... MVP 1L that ended up with a 3.85+ gpa with all of my grades back. I didn't think 1L SA was realistically on the table, but I think my grades may open it up. Non-diverse, no apps in. Too late or should I grind this week to get some resumes out? Also, do I put my GPA on my resume or just attach my transcript? Thanks.

Anyone hear back from Mofo LA yet?
Also just realized I made a very minute typo in my cover letter. Must be why I'm getting nowhere

Re: Heard Back For 1L SA Position
Oddly enough, the 15 or so cover letters with minute typos that I sent out have yielded me the most screeners/callbacks. I assume its not the end of the world if they like the rest of your application. Keep your head up!Anonymous User wrote:Anyone hear back from Mofo LA yet?

Re: Heard Back For 1L SA Position
I had typos in some cover letters, and a couple resulted in interviews. The others are resulted in "we don't hire 1Ls, but please get back with us next year" dings. Don't sweat it.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone hear back from Mofo LA yet?

Taft Chi and Indy interview in 2-3 weeks. Sent my grades as a followup to JonesDay Chi and said they would get back to me in a few weeks - so no ding yet.
