+1If I would've known the stats of some of you and the fact that you wouldn't get interviews, I wouldn't have even applied. You guys had higher stats than I imagined a declined applicant would have. Damn. I need to stop wallowing because you guys actually have a legit reason to be upset.
I wonder how fast my application went in the trash can

cheers good luck. I'm not sure I'd want my family's livelihood and my income subject to the whims of the tea party but I suppose its better than unemployment.
Waiting on the rest of the Honors programs and the PMF app will be open in a month.
I will say at least DOJ has a community tab and contact with someone at main justice the rest of the honors apps are a black hole.

She posted more updates in the Community area. Apparently she sent out all of the e-mails, but if several of us did not get them there must be a delay in the system. Knowing the federal government, that is not surprising at all to me. Once it took 2 days for one of my e-mails to go through for no reason.

If I have been selected for an interview, can I consider myself an "honors finalist". I ask because I would like someway to communicate to other employers my status, in the off chance it provides some leverage.

Does anyone know when our references are contacted? Pre- or post-interview?

I don't think so. Judging by last year's thread, Finalist is a status you get after interviews and before receiving an offer.Anonymous User wrote:If I have been selected for an interview, can I consider myself an "honors finalist". Yup. Being a finalist is distinct from getting an interview.Anonymous User wrote:I don't think so. Same here. I'm not too worried. Ms. Willis said that the component(s) will reach out to us again if they do not hear from us. I would like to see which component(s) selected me though! Ahhhhh the suspense!!!Anonymous User wrote:Me! Those who were selected but haven't received emails, mind sharing which component(s)?

I did not receive an email yet. I also would advise people maybe to wait until the end of the day before emailing Deana-- as she said, she can't even sign into her email today because of the shut down, so we still may receive the email (due to a server delay) today, and I'd hate to flood her inbox for when the gov't reopens.Anonymous User wrote:Hey!
