I just find it odd that PLIP is willing to create extra bids after bidding closed. Any sign of desperation is good for us I would think.

One on hogan lovells and one on King & Spalding in addition to Westman, Champlin & Kelly

If they already read through all the resume, that's efficiency right there. Or maybe they have an option on PLIP to send an email to all bidders?

Nope, other than the aforementioned ones from hogan lovells and King & Spalding, and I bid on a bunch of them.

If we are offered additional bids for markets we aren't too interested in, should we take them? An job is a job, and an extra bid is a free shot at a job, but I feel like a jerk potentially taking an opportunity away from someone who really wants it

If someone really wanted a job in a market, I assume he or she would already have bid there, right?

Hey, Guys,

My 2 Cents Worth is: Beware of risks of taking up those extra bids. Although it's tempting to bid on a firm in another market 'cause it's free, realize that the firms will see this........... what if it is interpreted that you're not really as committed to your original target market? You might be torpedoing yourself.

I expect that firms can only view bids placed on their own bid slots. Or am I missing your point?

If you're talking about free bids, I recommend using them on any firm that you're willing to consider.
