Previous CCN anon must be at Chicago...
Or at Columbia/NYU and didn't get an OCI interview slot through bidding.
You think they'd interview Columbua/NYU people that didn't get a spot before their OCI?
I've had that happen, but I wasn't given direct callbacks like the anon.
I also have an early screener with a firm that I did bid on. They contacted me for an informational interview after receiving one of my 1L mass-mails... months later I come to find out that "informational" = screener (wish I had known that before I wasted a bid on 'em).

This has been my experience as well. Surprisingly have heard little from the Chicago firms.

If a firm I am interested in is doing a resume collect at our school at a late OCI round (like in September), should I go ahead and just direct send it now? I don't want to wait until September when all their slots are filled.

Duane Morris interview request via e-mail. No idea if it's a CB or screener (e-mailed them back and am waiting on details). MVP transfer. Response time a little less than a week.

The interview request email mentions "interviewers" in the plural, so my assumption is, if its actually multiple people we are meeting with, its callback-style.

Mine says "an interview". So maybe some people have CB's and some have screeners? Or the just didn't think about the wording. Whatever, either way I'll take it since it's my first response from mailings.

Aren't there often 2 interviewers for a screener?

Exactly. So the number of interviewers doesn't really tell you if it is a screener or a CB.

I don't really think the distinction matters all that much. Even callbacks are like 3 screeners in a row. Then you have to worry about a meal, cocktail party, whatever.

I did the same thing when I saw a 212 area code on my phone (Manhattan=212=Wachtell). Wasn't them either though.

Lower t14, above median, below top 30%, no WE
relevant languages and international experience which might have helped

Good luck. I hope to hear back soon too. On a scale of 1-10, how well do you think you interview? That will probably play a big part. Good luck again!

I won't rate my interviewing skills but I assume they're decent. Also, left out law review from stats.

At how many interviews can I stop mass mailing? I've been doing 4-5 firms a day, and I've managed to collect 23 interviews. Can I stop now?

It's a serious question, I 13 through OCI and 10 through mass mail, when is it safe to quit?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
