I know Davis Polk, McDermott, and Dechert allow associates to expense dinners that are ordered to home.

DPW does not.

Uh which one is it? (specifically for NY)

Also, is DPW allowance still capped at $25?
In my relatively limited experience DPW does not. And the allowance is capped but no one respects the cap (or maybe just I don't?). Technically the manual says something like a "reasonable amount" and gives $25 as an example of a reasonable amount
Just because there was conflicting info quoted, I figured I'd add to the "DPW does not" side.

Jones Day does not look kindly on meal reimbursements in any circumstance. One of the cheapest firms there is.

Cooley allows, although this has been in-effect since pre-pandemic

I'm at MWE and was totally unaware we had a seamless policy.

Is it true if you are reimbursed for seamless to your home, you have to pay taxes on the reimbursed amount?

that was our firm's policy during COVID, and one (stated) reason they ended Seamless-from-home.
