Got a K&S DC CB today. Had a great Jones Day screener but haven't heard anything from them. Bombed my Gibson screener but haven't gotten dinged yet.

Ditto re: Gibson. Mind sharing the initials of one or both of your K&S interviewers?

Got a call from Jones Day an hour ago, Kirkland yesterday, and Hogan yesterday for callbacks. I’m not taking two of three, but wanted to let people know they are going out.

Anyone hear back from Quinn NY/Debevoise NY/Winston NY?

My stats so far are:

~ 3.4 GPA (Upward trend last semester)
- Journal but no LR
- 2-3 years WE
- Decent interviewer
- 20 Interviews (NYC exclusive), almost all lottery

I netted about 4 callbacks, maybe 10 rejections so far, and still waiting on six. Callbacks are v50-v70, all NYC. I won't say which because I can tell you others have already reported CBs from these firms on the Reddit thread for UVA 2021 OGI. All of my interviews went well, but I'm getting the sense that the firms are just a bit stricter about GPAs this year and it's a lot more competitive. The summer classes are reportedly going to be about 20% smaller due to the recession and UVA's c/o 2022 was about 10% larger than in previous years.

Where'd you hear that summer classes would be 20% smaller, most firms have told me they expect it to be similar sizes as past years

The country's in a recession, which means firms typically scale back SA programs. If you recall last summer many firms canceled or scaled back their programs, and many have been letting attorneys go throughout the year. I also recall career services (publicly and privately) suggesting the economy is going to reduce hiring. So if you believe whatever firm you spoke with, that's great and maybe they haven't, but I would say that it's safe to expect that hiring will be less robust in a bad economy than a good one. Some tippy top firms or those that are doing really well probably won't reduce hiring but I imagine most will, especially at non-HQ offices that might have practice areas that are suffering.

If anyone wants to share some info re: summer 2021 OGI this is a more anonymous place than reddit. Just be cordial! We know Willkie NY, Gibson Dunn DC, Sidley DC, and Davis Polk have had some CBs go out.
