Fiscal: 2721
Calendar Year: 2860

At least there are COVID bonuses. What a rough year...
Nope. SV EC/VC.
Good god. Was looking to lateral into an EC/VC role, but this gives me pause. Do you think this is a 2020 phenomenon, or are hours comparable to past years?
2020 was definitely a special year. 3 years prior were all between 2000 and 2400, which ain't nothing but isn't as bad as this year.

Part of it was that literally every client we had called us all at once about the PPP. There were also a TON of deals that happened this year because of COVID - it seems like the pandemic is really distorting things and a lot of companies that probably wouldn't have taken on financing in past years are doing so in preparation for a recession.
In SV EC/VC, had a similar experience. Also blasted during PPP loan season, although our current workload is still super heavy.

2700+ for the fiscal year. Lit, non-BK.

Normally average out at 2300-2500, so this year was a little intense.

Mid level V20 in M&A. Only 1500. Most people I know in 1300-1700 in the group range depending on how many of their deals died in first half of the year, and how many bids that died in the fall. Most people on track for 3000+ though after August with many 350+ hour months. Kind of a crazy year. Usually people hit 1800-2100 depending on the year, so slow year overall but sure doesn't feel like it with the crazy year end.

I am very glad I don't have to track hours anymore.

Mid level at a V30 creditor-side restructuring shop. 2700, maybe 2800 with pro bono and marketing. This year sucked hard and yet I feel like an average to below average biller as I know there are mid level and senior associates in my group that are over 3000.
