So if there's not a lot of GPA data for the firms on my interview list, is there a way to know if it's because they didn't hire anyone last year vs. they only hired 1 or 2?

I might be remembering incorrectly and you can just ask your OCS advisor - it's 3 people within the last three years for the firm to have GPA data.Anonymous User wrote:So if there's not a lot of GPA data for the firms on my interview list, is there a way to know if it's because they didn't hire anyone last year vs. they only hired 1 or 2?

For emailing firms to try and get an interview after not initially getting on their schedule, what's the protocol? Basically just say you're disappointed you hadn't initially gotten a spot on their schedule, but you're still interested in interviewing?

Thanks! Have you heard if that was the earliest possible date, or is there a possibility it might be released earlier?

Never too many. But you only have a few a day so use those opt ins strategically and don’t opt into firms outside your GPA range.Anonymous User wrote:How many opt-ins is too many?

Are you a transfer? Results already went up on Friday for non-transfer students.tls_toddy wrote:Chances we hear something before August 1? Theoretically, none of your bids should have been too far out of your GPA range that opting in to everything is a bad move though, right?notinbiglaw wrote:Never too many. Yep I'm a transfer. Guess that explains it. I figured it would be later than the regular but I read through this thread quickly and thought that comment was talking about transfer results and not regular results. Why not opt-in firms outside the GPA range? Does the system limit the number of interviews you can pick up?notinbiglaw wrote:Never too many. Unless they changed it or my memory is faulty, you can only pick up 2(?) opt-ins a day.
I used a Firefox add on to monitor page changes to see when a slot opened up. You have to relog every time you get auto logged off but it beats spamming Ctrl + r 24/7.

They may have changed it then. I see "opt-in" buttons for every firm I bid on, and there doesn't seem to be a limit on how many I can click.notinbiglaw wrote:Unless they changed it or my memory is faulty, you can only pick up 2(?) opt-ins a day.

Yup. They're doing a new system this year where you can opt-in to certain firms and then they will run a lottery for the cancelled slots. I'm not sure if this is better or worse but it's definitely nice that you won't have to spam refresh on the page to catch slots.Anonymous User wrote:They may have changed it then. I believe the system now is that you can only opt-in to firms you originally bid on. That must be how they're limiting it.ball is life wrote:Yup.
