When I was there during callbacks several of my interviewers were very proud of their barista. Real selling point apparently. Makes me a little sad that I don't drink coffee.Anonymous User wrote:A&P NYC has a barista.

This seems worse than just like normal catering. How tf do you pick what you want? Do you go casual, quick service, fine dining? I would definitely mess this up.Anonymous User wrote:My firm was co-counsel with Watchtell once. We went to their offices for an all day meeting and during lunch a butler came into the room and asked what we wanted for food. No menu. Order literally anything you want (within reason, e.g., can't get In-N-Out burger on the East Coast) and he'll bring it to you.

Yes, after the 3 days inside with no time to go outside, I did *wonder* if this is all that big law amounted to, but I also remembered that I'm still on a learning trajectory, and that not every day, not every project will be like this. I think I more seriously reevaluated my expectations and goals when I was only somewhat jokingly considering purchasing a dog bed to put under my desk to grab shut eye if this should happen again.dabigchina wrote:Somewhat off topic, but do you not reevaluate whether biglaw is worth it after something like this happens?JHP wrote:Truer words have never been said. They are decent. A&P also has a subsidized cafeteria, and pizza/wine/beer every Thursday and cocktail appetizers / top shelf liquor on Fridays (this is throughout the year, not just during the summer program).estefanchanning wrote:are they drinks good? I would also mess this up. Would have to position myself so I never ordered first.BansheeScream wrote:This seems worse than just like normal catering. How tf do you pick what you want? It's actually every day, not just Thursday (sans the pizza, that's only on Fridays) if we are talking about DC.Anonymous User wrote:They are decent. Thirded. I'd probably end up ordering the same thing as the person who went just before me.RaceJudicata wrote:I would also mess this up. I mean, seriously, the butler sounds great. But I certainly wouldn't want to be the only person ordering sushi when everyone else is getting deli sandwiches.
