If the interview begins around 4PM I would say it's an evening reception. If it's a morning interview they probably just do a little lunch thing. As far as I can tell, it doesn't matter if you go or not, since your interviewers fill out their recommendations basically as soon as you leave the room.

No, but I don't think it means anything. I've heard their hiring committee meets once a week. Or maybe one of your interviewers hasn't submitted their evaluation yet.
Do you remember what time they called? I had my CB Monday and have meetings all day tomorrow and Friday but I don't want to miss the call.

Around noon. I missed the call. Doesn't matter - now I get to play back the message as many times as I want. Also, I don't think the time of day means anything - it probably depends on the partner's schedule that day and/or when they are told about the decision.
