About 5-10% LLM graduates at CLS/NYU do get firm jobs. But often these people have distinguishing factors that signal high intelligence. Supreme Court of Australia clerkship-level things. That's the implicit point of what I wrote earlier: having an LLM for HLS is nothing like having a JD from HLS in terms of what it says about your intelligence and tenacity. LLMs are heavily evaluated by firms on the basis of their resume pre-LLM.
I completely disagree regarding the quality of LLMs. CLS, HLS, NYU all are LLM mills, the overwhelming majority of which would be bottom 10-20% on the curve in 1L. Some exceptions though.

There's also little incentive to do well as an LLM. Like OP said, most already have established careers in their home country and want to take a year to study in the US, basically for the experience/fun. Their grades don't really matter as long as they pass. That isn't to say they can't or won't do well, but I'm sure most don't really care too much, at least from the LLMs I knew.

You don't even need LSAT scores to get in to LLMs.
Not to be harsh but I'm just telling you so you know.
