Had a CB with Skadden NYC on Monday. CCNMVP around Median. No word yet, but not sure how fast they move.

I was told by my career services office that a pre-OCI interview should take the place of your OCI screening interview, UNLESS the firm interviews separately for different cities. In that case, you may bid on the cities you did not have a pre-OCI interview for.

Are cocktail receptions invites in response to an email to a recruiter worth attending? Can I take this as a sign that the firm is interested or is the reception itself really the first step?

Skadden: MM (through Skadden's recruitment form) --> Screener invite 4 days later --> Screener --> CB invite next day --> TBD

*Attended Skadden receptions and approached tables at career fairs.

Paul, Weiss: MM (resume request post firm reception) --> Screener --> TBD

*Attended PW diversity reception and approached tables at career fairs.

I posted earlier about a CB with Skadden (Mon 6/27). I applied online... Has anyone else had a CB and not heard anything since? What is the turnaround for summer? Am I screwed?

Which Skadden office? I had one on Tuesday, haven't heard back yet, but they said it'll be a week or two.

Based on the email asking for resumes? I was surprised they didn't ask for transcript

Debevoise has been making offers for the past week or so. Has been roughly 7-12 days from CB to offer.

Arent Fox and Jones day said apply online.

Pryor Cashman, Seward & Kissel, Shearman & Sterling, Venable, and Cadwalader said to apply through OCI.

Still waiting from the other firms.
